Personalised 3D ultrasound keepsakes
The optional visual story follows an ultrasound image from a monitor to a photograph. Surrounding tissue is removed from its 3D surface, missing areas are artistically completed, and the baby model is wrapped in a blanket. A printing sequence then builds the keepsake, and a hand lifts it from the printer.

A memory you can hold.
Once your model is prepared, 3D printing brings it into your hands. A little keepsake of where your story began.
The reconstruction shown above was prepared from a real ultrasound scan, using the original scan file to demonstrate what our service can create. Every scan is reviewed and worked on individually, with results shaped by the detail available. This is an artistic keepsake, not a medical model.
3D ultrasound keepsakes
for expecting parents.
An ultrasound scan can be your first glimpse of a familiar little face. baby.photo explores how 3D and 4D ultrasound images become a personalized 3D baby model and a physical, 3D printed keepsake.
A maternity keepsake for an expectant mother or growing family, it holds a moment from before your first hello. Each pregnancy keepsake is an artistic interpretation of the details available in the original images.
A few little questions.
What is a 3D printed baby keepsake?
It is a small sculpture developed from ultrasound imagery. A digital baby model is prepared, then 3D printing brings it into a physical form you can hold. The visual story above shows a prepared example of this process.
Which ultrasound files can I share?
You can prepare ultrasound photos or PDFs, reference clips, and original volume exports from your clinic. We accept MRB and ZIP bundles, DICOM, NRRD, NIfTI, MHA and Kretz volume files, plus MP4, MOV and AVI clips for review. Keep multi-file exports together in a ZIP with their original filenames. Other scanner formats can also be sent in a ZIP for review.
Each set of files is reviewed before we confirm what can be made. The contents, visible features and scan quality determine the possibilities. A 3D, 4D or 5D label alone does not identify the file format or guarantee a complete 3D model.
What is a fetus or foetus model?
Fetus and foetus are different spellings for a baby before birth. A 3D fetus model depicts that stage of pregnancy. At baby.photo, the model is an artistic ultrasound keepsake, not a medical reconstruction or a prediction of your baby's appearance.
Can I order a keepsake now?
